This begun as a solution to my lack of access to printmaking facilities in Singapore. I got these letterforms plotted out and used them as printing tools. Through the process I realized I was more interested in these physical objects than the prints themselves.
I found the way they decayed through usage very similar to how spoken languages are also shaped through use and disuse. This is a body of work I'm currently developing.

Imagine a (luxury) Trip Advisor for the afterlife. Authentically bringing the odd discomforts of bureaucracy to a web experience near you. The Reception chides, and simultaneously celebrates the contrived nature of trends & travel culture in which we are currently immersed.
By distilling the structure of different religions and drawing parallels with already existing markets, The Reception presents post-mortem packages to its clients in a way they may already understand. Designed to frustrate and enchant, ideally - in that order.
